Ampere - definition - electricity and electrical circuits
Definition: SI Unit of electrical current. One ampere (symbol A) is equal to one coulomb of net charge flux past a point per second. The unit is named after the french physicist Ampere, who identified a relationship between flowing electrical currents and magnetic fields, known as ampere's law.
