bremsstrahlung - definition - electromanetism, electrons and x-rays
Definition: Electromagnetic radiation is emitted when a charged particle changes its velocity. Specifically, when electrons collide with a target and suffer very large decelerations, the X-rays emitted constitute the continuous X-ray spectrum. This is the method used in medical x-ray machines.
