c, the speed of light - definition
Definition: Traditionally, this symbol denotes the speed of light in a vacuum. It is exactly 2.99792456*108 ms-1. This is also the universal speed limit imposed by the theory of relativity The symbol c has also historically been used to represent specific heats (in thermodynamics) and generic wave velocities.
