Mechanics

Kinematics and Dynamics

Mechanics has two subparts: Kinematics and Dynamics
Kinematics: Description of motion – mostly mathematical

Dynamics: Explanation of motion – Physics.

While dynamics is the physics part of the field, the mathematics of kinematics is needed before the physics of dynamics is understood. All through physics, there are examples like this of physics and mathematics going hand in hand.
