star
Definition: A celestial body that shines by generating energy internally through nuclear fusion. Stars are collected together in galaxies. The age and lifecycle of a star is related to its mass. Once a star has used up its fuel, its life can end in several ways, including a supernova, formation of a black hole, neutron star or white dwarf.
